Steve and Lynne from Chemogiftbags had the absolute pleasure of meeting Bernie Hollywood OBE – a true inspiration and one of the most dedicated philanthropists you’ll ever encounter.
Over the past 43 years, Bernie has raised an astounding £42 million for charities across the UK, Africa, and Nepal. His work with the Third Sector (charities, social enterprises, and voluntary groups) has touched countless lives around the world.
As a board member of World Merit, Bernie champions connecting young people to global opportunities, and his adventurous spirit has seen him undertake solo Atlantic rows to raise funds and awareness for important causes.
We’re delighted that Bernie will be keeping in touch and advising Chemogiftbags going forward! We presented him with a thoughtful heart-shaped cushion featuring a beautiful nautical theme – a perfect match for his famous ‘Boat of Hope’ charitable adventures.
It was wonderful to hear about his remarkable journey and we’re excited about future collaboration. People like Bernie remind us why community, compassion, and commitment to helping others matters so much.
