What an incredible evening! We were honoured to be nominated by Karin Leech for Trunkwell House’s Christmas Superstars Competition and invited to their spectacular Lost in Oz Christmas event.
About the Competition
Trunkwell House ran a wonderful initiative to celebrate those who make the year brighter for others – whether through volunteering, supporting their community, or simply being a truly kind soul when it matters most. They gave away tickets to their Lost in Oz Christmas party to those who shine the brightest, not with lights, but with love, generosity, and heart.
Karen Leach nominated us with these kind words: “What a fab thing to do for people who work so hard and do lovely things for others. I’d like to put forward Lynne Shipton who has done Chemo gift bags for many years, working hard and supplying these bags to people going through chemotherapy whilst having their own health issues. Always making the charity event happen.”
Karen’s kind words about the work we do with Chemogiftbags – supporting people going through chemotherapy – truly touched our hearts. It’s a reminder that even during our own health challenges, making a difference for others is what keeps us going.
The Event
The event was magical! From the stunning Lost in Oz themed décor to the amazing atmosphere, dancing, and celebration – it was a night to remember.
A special thank you to the wonderful people on our table – what an amazing bunch! We had such a great time with them and even hit the dance floor with the younger ladies. Great company makes a great night, and we were home before midnight!
P.S. We spent the evening searching for Toto! Dorothy asked if we’d seen him, and even Scarecrow came by to check if we’d found him yet. We looked everywhere – he wasn’t on my wheelchair, and not under my wheels! Still missing… 🐕✨ and he wasn’t on the yellow brick road.
