Chemogiftbags at the Armistice Day Remembrance Service
This Armistice Day, we at Chemogiftbags were privileged to attend the remembrance service, invited by Woodley Town Council. It was a deeply moving experience that reminded us all the importance of pausing to remember and honour those who have served.
As we stood in silence at the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month, the weight of history felt particularly profound. The act of remembrance is more than a tradition—it is a sacred commitment to never forget the sacrifices made by countless individuals who gave their lives for the freedoms we enjoy today.
Being invited by Woodley Town Council to participate in this solemn occasion was an honour for our entire team. It reinforced our belief that businesses are not just commercial entities, but integral parts of the communities they serve. We have a responsibility to stand alongside our neighbours in moments of reflection, gratitude, and unity.
Laying our wreath on behalf of Chemogiftbags was a deeply humbling moment. As we placed it among the other tributes, we felt the weight of what that simple act represented—our gratitude, our respect, and our promise to remember. It was a privilege to pay our respects in such a tangible way and to stand with others in our community who were doing the same.
The service brought together people from all walks of life, united in a shared purpose: to remember the fallen, to honour veterans, and to commit ourselves to peace. The sound of the Last Post echoing through the air and the profound silence that followed served as powerful reminders that the cost of freedom has been borne by generations before us.
